After Krista & Bryan’s initial path crossing online, they decided to meet in person for coffee. Because they were pleasantly surprised with each other, the date turned into a day together. They connected instantly and married in a beautiful fall Arrowhead Golf Course Wedding! This October day was definitely a gorgeous & warm one.
When I walked into the hotel room at the Marriott, the first thing I noticed was this beautiful window wall which allowed for the all the lovely light. Krista sat cool & collected as her artist completed her makeup while the bridesmaids hung out and prepped for the day. The mermaid style dress & the pop of pink in her details suited Krista perfectly.

Meanwhile the guys arrived at Arrowhead ready to go & Krista along with the bridesmaids arrived shortly after to put her in her dress. Then came was time for their first look! Eek! With an active golf course and a bright sunny day, it’s hard to pick a safe & well lit spot for the first look, but thankfully Arrowhead offers just the place.
There’s quite a story behind these beautiful wine bottle centerpieces. Krista knew they would need a quite a few, so while out in Palisade (aka Colorado’s amazing wine & peach country) they went dumpster diving and scored all of these. haha! Now that’s dedication!
In case it seems like the day was all cupcakes & roses, the serious hiccups they dealt with are quite noteworthy. Unfortunately their original cake fell over in the back of the delivery truck. Consequently last minute run made to King Soopers to save the day. Also the shuttle forgot to return to the hotel to pick up the guests so it delayed things a little bit. I know the cake incident alone would have been enough to send me over the edge, but they handled all this graciously like absolute champs!
We appreciated the time Krista & Bryan gave us. Especially relevant, a first look is great for an Arrowhead Golf Course wedding because it allows for much time for couple’s portraits. Since the golf cart ride takes up time, first looks give us a chance to explore the golf course after the ceremony. We even came across this flock of ducks crossing the path. I think Bryan almost had as much fun in the golf carts as we did. 😉
Finally, congrats again Krista & Bryan!! And major credit to my amazing sewing-kit-carrying, bustle-tackingly second photographer Erin Cady!
